Emma Tennant – Owner

My qualifications: MA, NVQ Level 3

“I trained as a nurse and a midwife before working for Johnson & Johnson on its baby range. I then had two gorgeous children and have been a working mother ever since.

Back in 2003, I couldn’t find a good enough nursery locally for my children, so I set up Teepee Day Nursery in Bracknell.

Day nurseries tend to be either privately-run single locations or larger chains. Teepee bridges the gap. A small, loving, children’s nursery with the dynamism and best practice of a much larger business – you really do get the best of both worlds.

I completed my postgraduate diploma in Early Years in 2015 rolled on to do a Master’s in Early Years Education, which I finished in 2018. I am totally committed to the care and education of our youngest children, and I hope you’ll find that shows in the way we run our nursery.”

Tara has worked in childcare since 2009 and has worked at Teepee since 2014. Tara has masses of experience both professionally and also as a mum, and her son come to nursery with her too.
