Perry Axton-Harris – Room Manager – Kittens
My Qualifications: NVQ Level 3, Forest School Leader, Paediatric First Aid
Perry started at Teepee Day Nursery in 2011 as a student. Perry has always enjoyed being with and working with children, as she has younger brother and sisters. Since joining the nursery she has passed her NVQ Level 3 and has been a Room Manager in all of the rooms. She enjoy working with children of all ages.
Tara Wilson – Early Years Practitioner – Kittens
My qualifications: NVQ Level 3, Paediatric First Aid
Tara has worked in childcare since 2009 and has worked at Teepee since 2014. Tara has masses of experience both professionally and also as a mum, and her son come to nursery with her too.
Rebecca MacKintosh – Early Years Practitioner – Kittens
Qualifications: Paediatric First Aid
Joining us from a large nursery, Rebecca is passionate about working with children and was inspired to work in Early Years after her niece was born. Rebecca is currently studying for her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
Rebecca says ‘I have a black belt in kickboxing and I love swimming and cycling. I have a passion for travel across Europe and I spend the majority of my spare time with my identical twin’.
Louise Beattie – Room Manager – Cats
My Qualifications: Degree in Children and Youth Studies, SVQ Level 3
Louise is originally from Belfast, she started off her career working in IT but switched career and followed her dream to work with children. She has worked at the nursery since 2018 and comes to the nursery with a wealth of experience working with children and adults with special needs, working across a variety of different settings. Louise enjoys the outdoors and is a keen walker and cycler. Louise is a passionate and experienced practitioner and we are delighted to have her in our team.
Emma Seymour – Early Years Practitioner – Cats
My qualifications: NVQ Level 3 qualified in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
Emma has 10 years’ experience within Early Years. She is passionate about working with young children and their families.
‘I enjoy the outdoors, walking and socialising with friends and family. I also do some voluntary work for my local church. Having had a break from Early Years to work in an office, I realised that my heart is in childcare so I applied to Teepee Day Nursery as it is a small, friendly and local nursery.’
Caitlin Desmond – Apprentice – Cats
Caitlin joined us in 2018 to work with us as an Apprentice. Caitlin enjoys swimming in her spare time. She is used to having lots of children around at home and is really looking forward to a career working with children.
