If you registered for childcare vouchers before the scheme closed on 4th October 2018 you can still receive up to £55 worth of childcare a week, free of tax and National Insurance, to help reduce childcare costs. Both parents can claim this tax and National Insurance relief if they are working and if their employers implement a scheme. At Teepee Day Nursery we are registered with all the Nursery Voucher Schemes please let us know if you need any further information.
All children over three are entitled to access the Universal Free Entitlement hours of free nursery education of 15 hours a week over a minimum of three days. Ofsted has approved us to provide nursery education for three- to five-year-olds. This entitlement is available for up to 38 weeks a year.
Your child becomes eligible for the hours in the term that starts after their third birthday. For instance, if your child’s birthday is in September, they will receive the hours in January. The amount of hours that you receive depends on the number of sessions you have a week. In order to receive the Free Entitlement hours, you need to prove your child’s age, so please ensure that we have a copy of your child’s birth certificate.
We are delighted to also trial the government’s Extended Entitlement for eligible children who attend the nursery four or five days a week. You need to be eligible to claim the Extended FE – a further 15 hours (30 hours FE in total) and can check this using the government’s Childcare Choices website. From this you will receive your eligibility code (DERN code), which you will need to complete the paperwork.
