We are delighted to announce that the nursery has applied for the 2014 RoSPA awards. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has annual awards, which if successful, recognise any business’s commitment to safety.
As child carers we’ve always tried our very best in this area, as we take the responsibility of caring and educating children very seriously. This year we wanted to pitch ourselves against the very best too. The RoSPA Safety Awards are internationally recognised and have fast become the most sought after accolade by organisations from every sector. This award offers organisations a prime opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards.
We will know how we got on later in the spring but in the meantime a huge thank you needs to go out to the nursery administrators, Sophie in Bracknell but particularly Julie in Reading who has pretty much singlehandedly pulled together all of our evidence. Thank you.
Over the next couple of months we will be talking more and more about safety in the nursery, as we want to find out more about your views and thoughts on children taking risks in order to further their learning constructively. More information to come in February and March but in the meantime, if you want to talk about this, or anything else, please talk to me or the nursery manager.
