Please see the following email from a parent at the nursery. Please let Gemma or a member of team know if you are able to help with this. Thank you!
My team at work have decided to try and support The Backpack Project through the Mary’s Meals charity. I was wondering whether Teepee families might be able to help? I’ve included some information below and would be really happy to collect items donated each time I pick Harriet up from nursery so you don’t have issues with storage. Please come back to me if you have any questions.
As we head toward this festive period, I know many parents might be thinking about having a little clear out to make room for gifts that Father Christmas might deliver if their children have been good boys and girls. When having this clear out, I’d really appreciate it if you could consider this project.
Mary’s Meals provides one good meal to some of the world’s poorest children every school day. Alongside this, with The Backpack Project they try to support children by donating backpacks full of the things they need, as they often don’t have access to basic learning tools. For more information about the project, see this link: https://www.marysmeals.org.uk/get-involved/the-backpack-project/.
We’re looking for good (or new) condition items suitable for 4-12 year olds, including:
– Stationary (notepads, pens, pencils, ruler, rubbers, etc.)
– Summer clothes (shorts, t-shirts, skirts)
– Flip flops/sandals
– Small ball
Thank you very much in advance for your support.
