  • Looking at different textures in the messy tray
  • Playing guess the object

Personal, Social and Emotional Development w/c 9th January

We will be encouraging the younger children to have confidence to try new activities and encouraging the older children to maintain their attention and concentration during an activity by

  • Playing musical chairs
  • Using sound boards
  • Doing Show and Tell in small groups

Could the children please bring in an item for show and tell on Tuesday 11th January

Communication, Language and Literacy w/c 16th January

We will be showing the children how to use their language as a means to widen their contact, share their feelings, experiences and thoughts by

  • Role play activities
  • Making props
  • Acting out our favourite interest in role play

Could the children dress up as their favourite character or costume

Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy w/c 23rd January

We will be encouraging the younger children to use their number names spontaneously and encourage the older children to show a curiosity in numbers by

  •  Going for a walk
  • Making our own book
  • Circle time

Could the children please bring in pictures of numbers that they see outside for example a photo of a door number or a car registration plate.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World w/c 30th January

The younger children will be encouraged to complete simple ICT programmes and the older children will be learning to use the computer to gain information by

  • Circle time
  • Using the computer
  • Mark making
