The Raccoons have had a very exciting week. We have been looking at road safety and some of the children made their own traffic lights, showing a good understanding of how they work and the meaning of each colour. During our walk to the allotment, the children were very alert in recognising different road signs. We all had lots of fun at the allotment, learning about how best to care for our vegetables. On Friday afternoon we enjoyed our leavers party, where we said a sad ‘good-bye’ to our friends who are off to school very soon.
We would like to say a fond farewell to Akhil who will be leaving us next week to go to school. It has been a real pleasure caring for you and watching you grow and develop.
May we please remind you all that ‘Show and Tell’ is on a Tuesday only. If your child does not attend nursery on this day, they may bring something in on their first day at nursery. Any additional toys brought in through the rest of the week, will be sent home as parents drop off. We regret having to do this as toys have become lost or broken and this can be very upsetting for your child. Also, they are often left behind and we then have an abundance of them!
We would like to welcome Sara who joined the Raccoons this week as our qualified teacher, the Raccoons have all enjoyed getting to know her. Please see our news item to follow….
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
